Title of Message:  The World Without Christ

The sermon was delivered by Pastor Massoud Sadeghi to the Iranian Christian Church in the beautiful Chapel at the Cedar Park Church.  This is a summary (and I paraphrase) of the sermon. The sermon was translated to English for English-speaking members:

Welcome to Nejat Church. Welcome to your church.  Welcome guests.

If today you are missing your joy and happiness in your life, I know Jesus can rebuild and recover your joy.  Last week we saw what a high price Jesus paid so that today you and I can rule over the world and have victory through his work.  Jesus paid for all of our sins in FULL.  It’s all paid off in FULL.

If we realize this fact, I know no one can put a blame on you.  No one can place judgment on you. Yes, we obtained eternal life and freedom from our sins freely, but a high price was paid for it by Jesus.

I’m glad to know that the Church is awake and the people in the world can hear and see the work of Jesus,  so they too can gain these rewards in Jesus.

Today we must talk about Jesus and his blood; expose Satan and his defeat so others can find the truth and the enternal life.  (Read Col 1:12-14)

If today some people do not accept Jesus Christ, I must warn them that a terrible future in Hell is awaiting them.  You, the believers have entered into the Kingdom of the Son of God.  Jesus is the King of this Kingdom.  This world must wake up and know Jesus Christ before it’s too late.  It’s too late if a person dies yet does not accept Jesus Christ as his or her savior; By then it’s too late.

(Read 2Cor 4:4) The King of this world is Satan who has blinded some people so they don’t discover and know Jesus.  In their houses, in the hearts of people where Jesus is not present, people are missing the intercessor,  they need a person to build the bridge between them and God, to wash their sins and to heal them.  That person is Jesus.

Satan must leave the Iranian’s homes.  Iranians must become free and enter into God’s Kingdom.  I want people to come out of Satan’s kingdom of darkness. I was people to come into God’s Kingdom through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

The good news is that Man can become a son of God and be free of Satan, through the work of Jesus.  Satan lies to you. He is a thief.  Satan wants to trick you; if Satan says that things are bad or wants to scare you, know that in fact the opposite is true as God has better plans in mind for you.  Satan is a thief and wants to steal.  Satan wants to steal God’s word from your heart.  Protect your hearts from Satan.

God’s word is like seeds.  When it falls on a well-prepared ground, it grows and flourishes. When it falls on a hard ground, the birds (this is a symbol of Satan) pick the seeds, so nothing can grow.  Our hearts must be soft and accepting of God’s Word.

Satan wants to pilage, damage and hurt you.  God is the spirit who is looking for the faithful and who saves the believer.  God has reserved the lake of fire and the absolute darkness for Satan.

(Read Matthew 25:)  Anyone who leaves this earth without Jesus will be judged, and will suffer. Anyone who believes in Jesus will receive no pain and no suffering, because Jesus paid the price of sin already.

So, pray for your family, friends and loved ones to come to know Jesus.  Satan has closed their eyes so they don’t see the Word of God.  But pray that your loved ones realize the danger ahead with Satan.  Pray that they open their eyes to see and know the Word of God.  Amen.

Sermon Summary, Sunday May 10, 2009

May 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Pastor Massoud Sadeghi gave the sermon today.  It was received with many great enthusism and words of praise, thanks to God and Hallelujah from the church mass.   Here is a very brief summary (and I paraphrase):

Good afternoon. Happy Mother’s Day.  Today I have a message from the Word of God aboout family and the value of family members.  Jesus through his sacrifice returned us to the original place where God created Adam.  If people knew what we’ve received in Jesus, I know the world would be a different place.

Jesus gave his life to save our lives.  Read Matthew 13:44 and Acts 20:28.  We should realize the importance of His sacrifice; that we were in such a bad shape before and now as believers in what a great shape  today.  Through His blood, you have become precious and valuable.  You are precious jewels in the eyes of God now because of what Jesus did.  I wish the church would realize what a precious value it has received through the work of Jesus.

Read Genesis 1:26.  We were created in His image to have eternal life.  We have now achieved eternal life through Jesus Christ.  God wanted and planned to have a family.  By saving us through His blood, God has made us eternal and gave us the opportunity to live with Him.

Read Psalms 139:14.  When God made us in His image, He gave us His mind.  God created our minds and gave us power over nature, animals and the earth.  You’re in control and have dominion over nature.  We’re given the power to rule the earth.  Just as Moses could split the Red Sea in half and walk on firm ground of the sea, God has given us the same power, the glory and honor of becoming his family.

I wish to see that believers in this church are like David, Joshua and Jesus who believe and know that God has given them the powers.  Amen.

Sunday Sermon Summary – May 3, 2009

Pastor Joe Fuiten of Cedar Park Church gave the sermon today. It was received with many words of praise, thanks to God and Hallelujah from the church mass.   Here is a summary (and I paraphrase):

The Persian people have a long and proud history and this church, the Nejat Church is an example that continues that tradition.  The best days of the Persian people is yet to come as the Persian people come to serve the Lord.  Read John 20.

When Thomas heard that Jesus had risen, he did not believe that Jesus was alive until he was able to put his fingers in his wounds.   When he saw Jesus and saw his scars, he said: “My Lord and my God”.  Thomas knew that Jesus was more than a prophet.  Jesus was God and the Lord.

Jesus performed many miracles.  He performed these miracles to show that he could forgive sins.  When you see a miracle, it’s a testimony that God is our salvation.  There have been many miracles that have happened in this church.  It’s a sign that your sins are forgiven.  What’s the connection between healing and forgiving sins?  The connection is that the same Jesus who heals also forgives sinss.

These works of miracle were prophecised by prophet Isaiah.  Have you seen a miracle in your life?  What does the miracle tell you? It’s a testimony that Jesus can forgive sins.   You can be assured to stand before God when you’re in heaven, kneel before God and say the same thing that Thomas said: “My Lord and My God”.

Just as a Persian wise man came seeking Jesus on his birthday as one of the 3 wisemen almost 2000 years ago, still today, Persians come to seek Him.

It’s easy to get wounded in this world.  It’s comforting to know a saviour who was also wounded.  Jesus knows what it’s like to suffer, to be wounded or be abandoned by everyone.  When we face the same difficulties or when we are persecuted for our faith, we know Jesus experienced the same.  Jesus, despite the whipping and torture that he received, rose from the dead.  You too shall rise from the dead with His Power over death.  You have a saviour who not only cares about you but also experienced the same.  When we pray, we can be confident that he understands us and our pains.

The Bible tells us that Jesus put the Holy Spirit in us as a prelude to that we will receive later in Heaven.  The Holy Spirit of God is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.  That’s the smae that power that is in us.  Jesus heals so you know that he has the power to forgive sins.  Jesus loves us and has a wonderful plan for us.   Amen.
